Masterpieces and mishaps: Going postal...

I think as an Artist it's important to understand it's a okay to screw up every so often, it happens to the best of us especially when you only just starting out. The best way to look at is that you can learn from the mistake no matter how terrible you may think it is!

As well being an illustration student and blogger, I also freelance with a marketing company online which delivers bispoke letters to buisnesses and charities.

I was given a small job to do of about 20ish notecards, it happened to be quite a last minute job and I was waiting on some the names and bit info for them. So I decided to leave gaps for the infomation that was missing which is was fine for the names but neverrrrr do what I did, of course the gaps were too small which resulted in me being asked the abbrievate the infomation which still just looked terrible. Unfortunately they had to give the job to one of there other writers, the main point i'm trying to make is if you are not sure of something never feel afraid to ask because even if you think it may be a stupid question but it is always better to ask than potentially ruining a job. I only had myself to kick when i'd wasted a good day addressing envolopes that will never be sent and falling behind on my other work, so never panic, always ask questions and don't be afraid to push for infomation you may need; the worst that will happen is they'll say no.
