For these images I used Rock salt to create the background and the planets in the clover. It works by absorbing the watercolour. Rock salt is a useful material, it can give a nice tie dye effect good to use for seas, trees and skies. I used standard cartridge paper for these little pictures and use Winsor and Newton tubed watercolours 8ml. I find using tubes a good way to get use to consistency and blend new colours together. There little because I started to run out of paper and its no where near pay day! So to use it all more efficiently I cut the paper into little squares for multiple Illustrations.
